Books

The book collection of the ASCL Library consists of approximately 100,000 books, including academic material, ‘grey  literature’, pictorial works, and African fiction. All books and other library materials can be found in the ASCL online catalogue.

Staff of the ASCL Library undertake yearly book acquisition trips to African countries. During these trips a visit to a Book Fair is combined with visits to local bookshops, universities, and other organisations. Reports of some acquisition trips can be found below.
