Isaie Dougnon

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Bamako, Department of Social Sciences. From 1998 to 2003 I have worked on Migration and Labour from Dogon Land to Office du Niger (Mali) and to Ghana, from which I wrote my thesis at the University of Bayreuth in 2003, Travail de Blanc Travail de Noir: La migration paysanne du Pays Dogon à l’Office du Niger et au Ghana 1910-1980.

Currently I am working on Migration from North of Mali to Ghana. My main question is: Why people of North of Mali are continuing to Migrate while International Organizations as GTZ are managing small scale irrigation. I also deal with agriculture investment as factor of peace building in the Timbuctu Region.
