Norman Rudolf Moyo

Norman Rudolf Moyo is a research and development practitioner from Zimbabwe with RUZIVO TRUST, a pro-poor non-profit organization with a mission to advance knowledge on land and agriculture, and livelihoods through action research, skills and capacity development and policy dialogue and engagement. Norman is a holder of a Masters Degree in Lands and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a postgraduate Diploma in GIS, and a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Agriculture. He has previously worked with one of the local universities and various civil society organizations (CSOs) involved in areas including rural livelihoods, food security, natural resources and wildlife management, dryland and water management, land and geographical information systems (LGIS), gender and HIV and AIDS. Norman is one of the contributors to the forthcoming book publications, Inside the Political Economy of Redistributive Land and Agrarian Reforms in Mazowe, Shamva and Mangwe Districts, in Zimbabwe: Editor: Prosper B. Matondi and The Dynamics of Change and Continuity in Commercial Agriculture: Case Studies of Mazowe, Shamva and Mazowe Districts in Zimbabwe by RUZIVO TRUST. His research interests revolve around broad and specific issues on agrarian and land reform, livelihoods, community-based natural resources and wildlife management, and indigenous knowledge management. During his stay at ASC, Norman will continue develop and revise his PhD proposal embracing issues related to Fast Track land reform, wildlife and tenure in Zimbabwe. He will also contribute to the discourse on land reform in Zimbabwe at the Centre through seminars and a working paper.
