Noortje Luning

In May 2019, Noortje Luning started working on a research project in collaboration with the African Studies Centre, the University of Humanistic Studies, the Centre against Child and Human Trafficking (CKM) and the Salvation Army. Her research focuses on the role of religion in the lives of West African victims of trafficking in the Netherlands. When not doing fieldwork, Noortje will spend half her time at the ASC and the other half at CKM. This research will be supervised by Rijk van Dijk and Laurens ten Kate (UvH).

Noortje has a BA in Theology (University of Groningen) and an MA in Philosophy of Religion (PThU Groningen).
