Jaouad Azaoui

Jaouad Azaoui is a student assistant at the INCLUDE Secretariat. He is currently finalising his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Organisations and also holds a propaedeutic diploma from the Bachelor Middle Eastern Studies at Leiden University. To get a better understanding of Dutch foreign policy and to get an insight into the diplomatic world, Jaouad did an internship at the North Africa and Middle East Department of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within the department he organized the first incoming Libyan trade mission since the Libyan civil war in 2011, he wrote several reports on migration issues in North Africa and he assisted the policy officers with creating multi-annual country strategies for all North African countries. Jaouad also serves as a coach at the Moroccan Dutch Leadership Platform (MDTP) with the goal of contributing to personal and professional growth of ambitious Dutch secondary school students with Moroccan roots.
