Augustine Ikelegbe

Mr. Ikelegbe obtained a Ph.D in Political Science from Nigeria’s premier University of Ibadan in 1988. He has been teaching and conducting research in Comparative Politics, Environmental Politics and Public Policy Analysis at the University of Benin, Benin City. His current research interests are Identity, Resource and Environmental Conflicts and the roles of civil society, youths and gender. Apart from two books, he has over thirty five publications which include “The Perverse Manifestation of Civil Society: Evidence from Nigeria” (Journal of Modern African Studies 2001 39(1) CUP) and “Civil Society, Oil and Conflict in Nigeria: Ramifications of Civil Society for a Regional Resource Struggle” (Journal of Modern African Studies 2001, 39(3). CUP).
