Núrel Reitz, Diverging Memories: A comparative analysis of interpretations of the 1904-8 genocide in Namibia and the Majimaji War in Tanzania

Núrel Reitz’ PhD project ‘Diverging Memories: A comparative analysis of interpretations of the 1904-8 genocide in Namibia and the Majimaji War in Tanzania’, will analyse narrations of the atrocities committed by the colonial governments in former ‘German South West Africa’ and former ‘German East Africa’. Beyond this, she will explore to what extent these narrations interrelate with different forms and intensities of collective action in the respective contexts.
