Special issue of Vice Versa on land rights

A special issue of Vice Versa on land rights pays extensive attention to land rights in Africa. The issue has features on land rights in Mozambique, the city of Beira (Mozambique) and Uganda. ASCL director Ton Dietz is quoted in an article about the coherence of the Aid & Trade policy of the Netherlands (p. 44). Matthijs van Leeuwen is interviewed about his research project 'Grounding Land Governance' (p.59) and former ASCL researcher Sebastiaan Soeters about his research into Conflict and Cooperation in the Management of Climate Change. An essay by Annelies Zoomers (director of LANDAC, Land Governance for Equitable and Sustainable Development, of which the ASCL is a partner) highlights the land grab and how to 'leave no one behind' (p.69). The book 'The Global Land Grab: Beyond the Hype', written by Annelies Zoomers and ASCL researcher Mayke Kaag, is also quoted.

The special has been financed by LANDac and can be ordered by sending an email to abonnementen@viceversaonline.nl.
