Het toekomstige examenprogramma aardrijkskunde in tien thema’s

This essay by Ton Dietz describes ten future themes that should be introduced in the geography exam programmes for Dutch secondary education students. In addition to the six themes that Dietz introduced in a 2008 teaching method (population, nature as a natural resource, nature and space control, climate, disaster management, and the risk society) the four extra themes that he describes are geopolitics and security, identity and security, cultural diversity, and the Netherlands and Europe in the world economy.
