Mayke Kaag was interviewed in Trouw about the ongoing protests in Senegal considering the postponement of the presidential elections. In the interview Kaag states that the recent release of political prisoners was an act by president Sall to get the genie back in the bottle, and that it has become a trend in Senegal to eliminate opposition leaders in times of elections.
