Livestock commercialisation and food security for pastorialists in northern Kenya

The study explores the extent of livestock and grain trade in the area and main actors in both sectors. It also shows the position of some impoverished households who have lost their livestock in the past droughts. Finally, the study compares the terms of trade between livestock and livestock products on the one hand, and grains on the other, in caloric terms, i.e. caloric terms of trade (CToT).
