Lidewyde Berckmoes interviewed by LeidenGlobal on Burundi's conflicts

Lidewyde Berckmoes was interviewed by LeidenGlobal about caring about peace, and how Burundi’s conflicts transcend borders and time. Berckmoes is an associate professor and senior researcher at the ASCL. She also chairs the Researchers Assembly and the Collaborative Research Group Conflict Continuities, and serves on the board of the ASCL.

 

The interview centres on how conflicts in Burundi have transcend borders and time, affecting the lives of Burundians both in Burundi and abroad. Berckmoes' recent work examines the links between conflict and mental health, asking mental health is embedded within society.
