It has an extensive library that is open to the general public. The ASCL is an interfaculty institute of Leiden University.

INCLUDE was established by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in June 2012. It brings together researchers from African countries and the Netherlands who work with the private sector, NGOs and governments to exchange information and ideas on how to achieve better research-policy linkages on inclusive development in Africa.
