PhD candidate Gerda Hooghordel was interviewed by Voertaal about indigenous healing and sangomas (traditional healers) in contemporary South Africa. Her research focuses on the transmission of healing knowledge and practice by female Zulu sangomas in (the vicinity of) Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
