Benjamin Soares appointed co-editor of journal 'Africa'

ASCL senior researcher Benjamin Soares was recently appointed as an honorary co-editor of Africa. Founded in 1928, Africa is the journal of the International African Institute in London. It is the premier journal devoted to the study of African societies and culture, and it encourages an interdisciplinary approach. The journal appears quarterly and is published by Cambridge University Press.

Africa’s Thomson Reuters (ISI) Impact Factor for 2015 was 1.017. This ranks Africa as the 2nd Africanist journal in the Area Studies category.

Earlier this year, Benjamin Soares also became one of the editors of the International African Library book series of the International African Institute, which Cambridge University Press also publishes.
