19.35 Address by Herman van Gelderen of Radio Netherlands Worldwide.
19.40 Prize-giving ceremony by the Chair of the Jury, Dr Harry Wels.
20.00 The winner of the Africa Thesis Award 2010, Michal Singer (University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa), will present her thesis on ‘Changing Conceptions of South African Coal-Based Pollution, with Special Reference to the Witbank Coalfield, 1906-1978’. This will be followed by a question-and-answers session.
20.30 Debate on the environment and the South, in cooperation with Greenpeace.
The best debater of the evening will win € 100!
