Enock Kojo Ayesu

Enock Kojo Ayesu is a lecturer at the Department of Economics, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana, a Master of Philosophy, and a PhD in Philosophy in Economics from KNUST.  Dr. Ayesu specializes in international trade and finance, development macroeconomics, and maritime economics and logistics, with a focus on Africa and the developing world in general. He is a member of the African Growth and Development Policy (AGRODEP) Modeling Consortium facilitated by AKADEMIYA2063, the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC), and a research fellow of Megatrends Afrika Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), Kiel, Germany.

Additionally, Dr. Ayesu is a Young Scholar of the Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries (PEDL) Young Scholars programme and serves as a mentor and research trainer for the IZA Institute of Labour Economics Gender, Growth, and Labour Markets in Low-Income Countries (G2LMLIC) Mentorship Programme. He has led and also participated in research projects funded by international organizations, including the Structural Transformation and Economic Growth (STEG), and the Center for Development Research (Zef) the University of Bonn. Dr. Ayesu has participated in international conferences and workshops across the world and his research works have appeared in reputed peer-reviewed journals, including Maritime Policy & Management, Maritime Economics & Logistics, Journal of Shipping and Trade, Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, the Journal of International Trade & Economic Development, Social Science Quarterly, OPEC Energy Review and Research in Globalization, among others.
