Zenebe Mekonnen Adare

Dr. Zenebe Mekonnen Adare is a seasoned agricultural scientist with a PhD in Agronomy from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, India. His academic journey began at Hawassa University, where he earned an MSc in Plant Science (Agronomy) and BSc in Plant Production Dry Land Farming. He has dedicated over 26 years to agricultural research and education. He spent six years as a Crop Science Researcher at the Southern Agricultural Research Institute, focusing on crop improvement. He also gained valuable experience as a laboratory technician at the Soddo Regional Veterinary Laboratory. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor of Agronomy at Arba Minch University, where he is actively engaged in research, teaching, student mentorship, and community outreach. His research has resulted in the publication of 13 peer-reviewed papers and one patented invention. He is running one AMU granted project, and working as project member on the Innovation in the Development of the Moringa Market System. Key words are cropping system, soil fertility management, climate crop associations, irrigation scheduling, organic farming and the related.
