Sami Mili
Prof. Sami Mili completed his education in June 2001 by obtaining a Bachelor's in natural sciences at the Faculty of Sciences, Bizerte, Tunisia. Then received a Master's in “Production and aquatic ecosystem” at the National Agronomic Institute & INSTM, Tunisia, in March 2004. He graduated in September 2013 and obtained his PhD in Fisheries science at the National Agronomic Institute & National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies (INSTM), Tunisia. He has professional experience as General Director of the Higher Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Bizerte (ISPAB), Tunisia (2017 -2024). Since 2017 till date, he has been employed as a Professor teaching fisheries management, population dynamics, stock assessment, fishing technologies, and ecology in the University of Carthage, Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte (Tunisia). In addition, he is also a consultant to the Technical Center of Aquaculture in Fishing Techniques and Fisheries Management (2009-2020) and Vice-president of the NGO Méditerranée Action-Nature (MAN) (2018-2020). He has been an editorial board member of the Journal of Aquaculture & Marine Biology (as of September 2019), a reviewer of one article for the journal PLOS ONE (May 2018), and a reviewer of many articles for the Journal of Aquaculture & Marine Biology (2019 -2023).
