Peter Umba

Umba Peter is a professional in the social science field with specialisations in conflict studies, political science and sociology. He understands very well and is knowledgeable in the dynamics of the civil society, politics and security of South Sudan. He has a strong network of local and international researchers with affiliation to leading institutions such as London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Juba, the Sudd Institution, the Research Institute, and Rift Valley Institute. He is also an alumnus of Sabanci University, Istanbul where he obtained a Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. His undergraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology was obtained from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. Umba is also an alumnus of the Young African Leadership Initiative.
