Ola Abagun

Olaoluwa (Ola) Abagun is a Knowledge Manager at the INCLUDE Secretariat. She is a Nigerian-trained human rights lawyer and equality, diversity, and inclusion expert. Ola brings 8 years of experience in grassroots and high-level gender equality advocacy, facilitating participatory processes with young people, and programme management on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues, gender transformative education, and gender-based violence. Prior to joining INCLUDE, she worked as a consultant with several INGOs and multilateral organisations, including Plan International, International Youth Alliance for Family Planning (IYAFP), UNICEF, and UN Girls Education Initiative, where she designed and co-implemented youth engagement processes, learning/capacity strengthening interventions for advocates, and qualitative programme evaluation.

Additionally, she has led ATHENA Network - a global feminist collective with a strong presence in 10 countries across Eastern & Southern Africa, which works to advance gender equality in the global HIV response. Ola holds a Masters in Gender and Development (with distinction) from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
