Moussa Thior

I received training in English from the Ecole normale superieure of Dakar, Senegal and in journalism from the Center for journalist sciences and techniques also based in Dakar at Cheikh Anta Diop University.
I spent ten years in the rural areas of Senegal teaching English in high schools and working as a journalist. After some years teaching, I decided to continue my MA studies on the Mande legacy in West Africa, specifically the case study of Senegambia.

Currently I am doing PhD research on the Mande legacy in Latin America, trying to follow the traces of the slaveboats and explore what is left of that community across the Atlantic.
