Lukumba Phiri
Dr. Lukumba Phiri is an accomplished professional with expertise in energy efficiency, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and smart grid optimization. He holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Zambia. Currently pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship at Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and a second Master, where he explores Modeling Non-Domestic Buildings' Energy Performance using Machine Learning Methods.
Dr. Phiri has investigated anomaly detection in SCADA systems and developed frameworks for cyber-physical security in smart grids. His professional experience includes senior roles in electrical engineering, encompassing commissioning, testing, and implementation of protection and control systems in power infrastructure. Additionally, he has extensive teaching experience, serving as a Senior Lecturer, and Vice Chancellor at Information and Communications University and a part-time lecturer at the University of Zambia. Overall, his career reflects a commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing challenges in artificial intelligence, computer science, engineering, and cybersecurity domains.
