Job Mwaura
Job Mwaura is a Research Fellow at the South African Research Chair in Science Communication, at the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Cape Town, in the Institute for Humanities in Africa (HUMA). He is also an affiliate faculty member at Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University in the United States, as well as an Adjunct Lecturer of Media Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR). Job completed his doctoral studies at the Department of Media Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He holds a MSc in Communication and Journalism from Moi University, Kenya. He is an alumnus of the prestigious “Next Generation of Social Sciences in Africa” programme of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) in New York, US and a current fellow in a Melon Foundation/Scholars at Risk funded project on Academic Freedom in Africa.
