Ghazali Bello Abubakar

Ghazali Bello Abubakar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science of Sokoto State University. He did his PhD in International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India and has an MSc (2007) in Politics and International Relations from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has worked in several teaching positions in Nigeria and also has been a visiting fellow at the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD). He is a regular media contributor on current affairs. He has a network in African and Middle Eastern Studies. Abubakar's research expertise is very broad, ranging from comparative politics through political theory to international relations, India-Nigeria relations, Middle Eastern politics, Africa, Asia and political islamism. He has received four grants: two from a Nigerian funder (TETFund), one scholarship for his study in India and funding for his visit to Taiwan. Recently, I have also been working on policy responses to the COVID-19 crisis.
