Dessalegn Yeshambel Wassie
Dessalegn Yeshambel Wassie (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Media and Communication Studies at Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. He completed his PhD in Media and Communication at Bahir Dar University in January 9, 2025. He holds an MA Degree in Journalism and Communication from Addis Ababa University and a BA Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (English) from Debre Markos University. He has over 13 years of teaching, research, and project writing experience and employed at Debre Markos University in Ethiopia. He has published several research works in scientific and Scopus-indexed journals. His research interests include Political Communication, Media and Politics, Media Practice, Discourse Analysis, AI and Emerging Technologies, and New Media.
