Cyril Ifeanyi Duruigbo

Professor Cyril I. Duruigbo has a Bachelor of Agricultural Technology in Crop Production, a MSc in Agronomy and a PhD (2005) in Agronomy, all merited from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria. He is currently working as a Lecturer of the Professorial cadre in the Department of Crop Science and Technology, School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology Federal University of Technology P.M.B 1526 Owerri, Nigeria. He has supervised more than fifteen PhD candidates, twenty-five MSc students and more than forty graduate students. He has also served administratively in the University as Director of F.U.T.O Farms Ltd. (2014) and Head of the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Technology, Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria (2015-2017) respectively. His research interest is on climate change mitigation and adaptation research, biodiversity, sustainable agricultural practices, organic farming systems and bio-nutrient recycling with focus on Africa. He has published more than fifty research-based papers in national and international peer reviewed journals with high impact factor. He has won an international research Award in 2010 on Sustainable Agriculture and Biotechnology from Support Africa International Foundation based in Germany.
