Charles Hornsby

Charles Hornsby has a D.Phil. in African Politics from St Antony’s College, 1986, with a dissertation on “The Role of the Member of Parliament in Kenya”. He is the author of several academic papers on Kenya in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and co-Author, Multi-Party Politics in Kenya (with David Throup) (1998). He acted as observer, journalist or freelance researcher in the 1992, 1997, 2002 and 2013 Kenyan general elections.

Charles Hornsby had the opportunity to live and work in Ghana 1995-8; Kenya 1999-2001; UK 2001-5; Netherlands 2005-8 and Malaysia 2008-11.
