Abstract | Aim of this paper is not to present a full description of ancestor veneration among the Nkoya. It concerns the extent to which an analytical theory of Afrian religious change is capable of explaining contemporary plurality of religious forms in selected areas of Africa as the synchrome outcome of the dialectical historical processes that have shaped a social formation. Further, it discusses the problem shaped by the fact that those analytical theories of African religions are using an idiom that is totally and deliberately, alien to African religions forms and modes of conceptualization |
