Finding articles

Restricting your search to articles in the ASC catalogue can be done in two ways:
1) simple search: carry out a search action and filter the results by ‘articles’.
2) advanced search: type in the search terms and limit by articles under ‘material selection’ before starting the search action.

 Terms found in the African Studies Thesaurus are a good place to start when searching the ASC catalogue.

 After locating an article, it can be retrieved and read in the ASC library.

 Tips:

• Check if an article is available online by clicking on the ASC link  at the button of each record.
• Have a look at the articles added by the ASC over the last few months
