Tycho van der Hoog interviewed for podcast 'North Korea's presence in Africa'

For The Korea Now Podcast, PhD candidate Tycho van der Hoog was interviewed by Jed Lea-Henry about North Korea's presence in Africa. They speak about the National Heroes’ Acre monuments in Namibia and Zimbabwe, how these North Korean-built monuments ended up there, the history and extent of such North Korean influence and presence in southern Africa, the public history and political culture that ties such countries to North Korea, and importantly how (and why) the history of the liberation movements – and how it has been manipulated – in these countries explains their deep international connections to this day.
