Library of the African Studies Centre Leiden reopens 15 June 2020 (reservation compulsory)

  • As of Monday 15 June, the Library of the African Studies Centre of Leiden University will reopen for visitors - but only after reservation by e-mail at asclibrary@ascleiden.nl.
     
  • Studying in the ASCL Library is possible during time slots of maximum 3 hours, either from 10:00 to 13:00 or from 14:00 to 17:00. Requests to visit the library will be confirmed by e-mail. This e-mail will be checked upon arrival.
     
  • During each time slot there will be 8 study places available in the ASCL Library.
     
  • The possibility to request books via the locker system will be maintained. Request the items via https://catalogue.leidenuniv.nl. Choose one of four locations in Leiden or The Hague (FSW, UBL, van Steenis, Wijnhaven), and pick up the books from the lockers when they are available.   • Visitors to the ASCL Library are requested to observe the regular hygienic measures and observe a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to other users at all times. Walking directions in the library are marked by yellow arrows.
