Paul Kamau

Dr. Paul Kamau is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nairobi. He holds a PhD in Development Economics (University of Nairobi), an MSc. in Economics (University of Zimbabwe) and a BA in Economics (University of Nairobi). He teaches and conducts research in areas of Regional Integration, Trade, Industrialization, Employment, Political Economy and Entrepreneurship. He has published papers on the Implications of Chinese ascendancy in Africa focusing on trade, investment, aid and migration; Market Diversification among the food processing firms in Kenya, Youth Unemployment in Africa, Women in the informal sectors in Kenya, and State-Business Relations in Africa.
