Nicholas Awortwi

Nicholas Awortwi (PhD) is a Ghanaian and currently the Director of Research, Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), a Pan-African organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya that seeks to enable African social science researchers to produce and communicate evidence based research that contributes to African governance and ultimately poverty reduction. Prior to joining PASGR in January 2012, Nicholas was a Senior Lecturer in Development Management at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University, The Hague, The Netherlands and a visiting senior lecturer at F.H.R Lim A Po School of Public Administration & Governance, Paramaribo in Suriname, and Nsamizi Training Institute of Social Development, Uganda. His teaching, research and technical advisory services are public-private partnerships, governance of services provision, decentralization and local governance, processes of local development, public administration, and municipal governance and management. He has 25 publications on these subject areas.
