Michèle Boin

Originally a sinologist (Sorbonne Paris VII,Taiwan Normal University, Kyoto Language Center, Leiden University) with an additional background in history and literature, I began working as a documentalist at the library of the ASC in 1993. I am especially interested in contacts between cultures and their effects on societies and individuals. I retired in 2013, but am still working in a Japanese small-scale commercial company with cultural activities in Amsterdam. My mother-tongue being French, I regularly translate Dutch and English language books and articles about Africa and the Maghreb.
