Michal Onderco

Michal Onderco is an Assistant Professor of International Relationsat Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He studies international security, with focus on nuclear politics and on domestic politics of foreign policy. He also maintains a healthy side-interest in South Africa's foreign policy, especially in relation to weapons of mass destruction. He authored Iran’s Nuclear Program and the Global South (Palgrave), as well as papers which appeared in International Studies Quarterly, European Journal of Political Research, Cooperation & Conflict, The Nonproliferation Review.

In 2018-2019, he was a Junior Faculty Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation. In the past, he was a Stanton short-term fellow at FGV in Sao Paulo, Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute, Fulbright visiting researcher at Saltzman Institute for War and Peace Studies at Columbia University, and a visiting scholar at the University of Pretoria.

He holds PhD and LLM from the VU University Amsterdam, and a BA from Jacobs University Bremen.
