Marius Debonaire Mbetga

Marius Debonaire Mbetga is currently a Doctoral Student in Sociology at the University of the Western Cape. The area of study of his doctoral programme is Sociology of African Migration and African Societies. He was granted a BA in German Studies in 1995 and a BA Honours in Linguistics in 1997 at the University of Yaoundé І in Cameroon, a BA Honours in Communication Studies in 2012 and a Masters in Sociology in 2015 at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. Marius has been productive with his doctoral degree pursuits with presentations at national and international conferences. He has consistently provided academic assistance to postgraduate students as a writing coach. In addition to this, he has been French Language and German Language Teacher in Cameroon from 1997 until 2000. His migration to South Africa in 2000 has brought a change in his life. He has been Entrepreneur and Business Owner from 2000 to 2011 and, cumulatively till today, an Informal Beach and Street Trader in Cape Town, South Africa.
