Mariia Shaidrova

Mariia Shaidrova is a PhD researcher at the University of Tilburg (Tilburg Law School). Her research is focused on the persistence of high risk migration among Nigerians on their way to Europe. Maria is doing her fieldwork in Nigeria and Niger using the method of trajectories and visual ethnography. She holds MSc (Cum Laude) in Migration and Ethnic Studies (UvA) and has been extensively working on different projects focused on forced migration (and human trafficking in particular).
