Kris Berwouts

Kris Berwouts has worked for a number of different Belgian and international NGOs over the past 25 years, focused on peace building, reconciliation, security and democratic processes. Since 2012, he has worked as an independent expert and writer on Central Africa, for French and British authorities, the EU, Monusco and Amnesty International. Articles have been published by IFRI, African Arguments and Egmont Institute. In July 2017, ZED will publish his book on conflicts in Congo ‘Congo’s Violent Peace: Conflict and Struggle since the Great African War’.
