Karan Singh

Dr. Karan Singh is Associate Professor in the department of English at Government Post graduate College, Mahendergarh, M.D. University, Rohtak, Haryana, India. He  obtained his Ph. D. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India and has worked extensively on folklores and cultural studies related to the diasporic communities in India. He has published a collection of his translation of Folk songs and has been awarded Major Research Projects by University Grants Commission, New Delhi related to Dalit Women and Folk theatres of North India. He has been an Associate at Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla, India from 2009-12 and has been allowed another term from 2015-18. His recent research interests are related to the cultural transformations in the communities of African origin on the Western Coast of India.
