Henk Veldman

Henk Veldman holds an MSc in African Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Henk is currently working as a business development manager for Koneksie B.V., a Dutch social venture that designed a mobility concept for the East African motorcycle-taxi market. He is currently involved in setting up the motorcycle factory for Koneksie in Nairobi and responsible for the social impact strategy of the company.

Prior to his job at Koneksie, he worked as an investment officer in the Central African Republic (CAR) for a Dutch investment fund that invests in SME companies in Central African region. Henk started his career at the Netherlands African Business Council, where he organized 10+ trade missions to various African countries to assist Dutch companies exploring opportunities in Africa. Since 2012, Henk is managing partner of the Norwegian African Business Association (NABA), which is the Norwegian counterpart of NABC.

Interests include: African politics, doing business, East and Central Africa, private sector development, international trade, development aid, mobility.
