Evert van Dijk

I was born in Ermelo, the Netherlands and emigrated with my parents to Cape Town in South Africa. After completing my high school education (Senior National Certificate) in Cape Town, I worked for 20 years in the private sector which included banking, retailing and automotive experience.  In 1980 I joined the university of the North (UNIN) as a Senior Lecturer and Researcher.  In 1989 I graduated with a D.Com in International Economics at the Rand Afrikaans University (now the University of Johannesburg). I have a keen interest in African Archaeology and Anthropology especially in Southern Africa. I am also an External Examiner for Post-Graduate Students at various Southern African Universities.
