I am a Zimbabwean with permanent residency in Zambia (I married a Zambian). I am currently working as the Registrar at Rusangu University in Monze, Zambia. I have worked as a university lecturer, school administrator as well as editor and marketing manager for a publishing house. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (English) from Andrews University, Michigan, USA and a Master of Arts Degree (English) from Wayne State University, Michigan, USA.

My Masters thesis was on Zimbabwean Postcolonial Feminism with a focused reading on Tsitsi Dangarembgwa and Yvonne Vera's novels. I am currently working on a PhD proposal on Yvonne Vera's novels that span from pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial Zimbabwe.  My research interest is on the changing gender ideologies and social practices during these periods.
