Coen Beeker

Coen Beeker worked as an Urban Planner in Africa (1968-2005), mostly in Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Sudan and Ethiopia.He taught the course Practical Urban and Rural Planning in developing countries from 1977 to 1984 at the VU Universitty Amsterdam and he was lecturer Urban Planning in Africa from 1984 to 2003 at the Planning and Demography Institute of the University of Amsterdam. He retired in 2004 with special interest for urban development in Africa and rock art in the Sahara desert.
