Catherine Cissé van den Muijsenbergh

Catherine Cissé van den Muijsenbergh studied literature and international law. She holds an MA degree in international law from the University of Pantheon Sorbonne (Paris I).

She worked as a lawyer at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), the European Union and the African Union and served as policy advisor at  the ICTY and ICTR and senior legal adviser at International Criminal Court.

Her research is focused in the Great Lakes Region, Horn of Africa, Middle East, the Western Balkans, North Caucasus and South East Asia.

Research interests: transitional justice, historical dialogue, reconciliation, youth education.
