Birhanu Megersa Lenjiso

I studied Sociology and Social Anthropology at Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia). I joined Ambo University (Ethiopia) as a graduate assistant in 2005, where I also served as assistant lecturer, lecturer/researcher, academic program officer, founder/coordinator of the Center for Gender Initiatives (CGI) and head of the department. I also worked as a consultant in the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). After working for six years in Ambo, I joined Radboud University Nijmegen in 2011 as a PhD candidate. On 9 June 2016, I defended my PhD thesis Gender, Intra-household Dynamics and Smallholder Milk Market Participation in Ethiopia.

My research interest revolves around power and resource sharing dynamics, Intra-household relations, social institutions and their influence on human relations, impact evaluation (quasi-experiment), gender, smallholder commercialization, social media networking etc.
