Aminu Bakari Buba

Aminu Bakari Buba is an academic at the Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State Nigeria. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in History from the University of Maiduguri, an MA degree in History from Bayero University Kano Nigeria. He is currently doing a PhD on Sugarcane Production and Land Use in Northern Nigeria Since 1956, at the Federal University of  Kashere.

Bakari has been a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria since 2008, and a life member of the Eurasia Research organisation. He authored a book on sugar production in Nigeria and published in journals on agrarian and environmental issues.He was a recipient of the prestigious State Award of the Nigeria Stock Exchange 5th Annual Essay Competition, Tertiary Institution Category 2004.

Bakari is a recipient of a national Research Grant for the Nigeria Tertiary Education Fund (TETFUND) 2018 on 'Manufacturing Apathy in Gombe state Nigeria:1996-2016'. He has presented papers in international conferences in Asia on peace and conflict studies and agrarian environmental challenges.
