Wijnand Klaver retired in 2015. He is currently affiliated to the African Studies Centre as an honorary researcher. He is an expert on food and nutrition security issues, with a particular interest in the assessment of child growth and food consumption. He was involved in research projects on Africa’s food and nutrition security: 2010-2050 and on food security and the African city (including urban agriculture).
