Abdourahmane Seck

Dr Abdourahmane Seck is an anthropologist and historian from Senegal. He did his PhD at the University of Provence, Aix-Marseille I. Dr Seck is also graduated in Philosophy and qualified at the grade of Maitre de Conference in Modern and contemporary history, by the section 22 CNU in France. He is a specialist of Islam and politics in Senegal. He works also on south-south migration issues, Gender and Urban culture in a context of reinvention of modernity in Africa. He published, in 2010, La question musulmane au Sénégal. Essai d’anthropologie d’une nouvelle modernité, Karthala, Paris.
