ASCL Community News February 2016

ASCL Community members Afam Ituma and Katrin Langewiesche are currently visiting the ASCL. 

Afam Ituma is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management Studies at Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (FUNAI) Nigeria. He is also the Inaugural Director, FUNAI Entrepreneurship and Employability Centre. While at the ASCL, he will focus on working with ASCL researchers on projects dealing with Entrepreneurship Development in Africa. He will also use the opportunity to work on other collaborative research projects with members of the Cross-Cultural Collaboration on Contemporary Careers (the '5C Group').
 

Katrin Langewiesche completed her doctorate at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in France. She is currently a member of the academic staff of the Department of Anthropology and African Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität, Mainz in Germany. She works on topics relating to the anthropology of religion in West Africa: religious plurality in modern societies, conversion theories, Faith-based organizations, Catholic convents between Europe and Africa, and Islamic transnational networks. Katrin will give a seminar at the ASCL on 25 February.
